My passion in life? Creating artwork through the use of color, texture and composition. While I have always been interested in art, a book on dyeing silk captured my attention during the 1980′s. I started learning about using colors to create excitement. Later a small watercolor captured my imagination. I was fascinated; thus watercolor painting became my next focus. Since then, I continue dyeing silk and painting watercolors. However, recently I’ve spent more time in mixed media. While all subjects interest me, I gravitate towards abstract and landscapes.

I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Southern Oregon State College and my Ed.E at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. My career centered in education, starting as an English teacher at what formerly was Medford Senior High. I also worked in various teaching and administrative positions until retirement in 1995. Since then my emphasis has been art. I am a member of Southern Oregon Society of Artist and Water Color Society of Oregon.
