Making art has been a source of enjoyment for me since childhood. These days, it has become more of a need; a form of meditation that keeps me centered and happy. I love experimenting and trying new media. Through the years, I have created work in welded metal, ceramic sculpture, paper mache’, stained glass, mosaic, oil and acrylic painting, graphite, colored pencil and pen and ink; as well as collage and assemblage.
I received a BA degree in sculpture from the University of Miami many years ago, and have taken post graduate courses in several other universities and art schools, but I have not pursued another degree. The “process” is the most important part of making art. Selling one’s art is certainly nice; a sort of validation, but it has not been my focus. I have shown my art throughout the Rogue Valley since the 1980′s. I have been in group shows and had several one man shows. I have sold many different kinds of art through the years. My work is scattered across the United States. I haven’t kept track of where it is. They are little bits of myself that I hope give their owners pleasure.
At present I work mostly in colored pencil, assemblage, and paper-mâché. I am working on ways to create mixed media pieces using these media.
