Kay Myer

Watercolors have been her creative source since the 1980s and she loves exploring the endless possibilities this medium allows. Kay is both enthusiastic and passionate about painting in her colorful, loose and interpretive style.

Currently her art is in collections in Koln, Bachingen and Reinsdorf, Germany; Krems and Vienna, Austria; Ryd Sweden; Wales, UK and many states throughout the USA.

She is an active member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon and has also won recognitions in international art challenges of specifically assigned subjects in both the “SAA” and “UBA” art societies.

Her early years of watercolor instruction began with workshops by artists Judy Morris, Sharon Wesner and the late Bruce Butte. In 2015, she attended a workshop in Sonoma, CA instructed by Jean Haines, a world famous watercolor artist, author and instructor from London, UK.

Kay was born in a Denmark refugee camp and adopted at the age of two by an American farm couple in their late 60’s from Blodgett, OR. In 1971, she moved to Gold Rey Ranch Estates where she enjoyed life for many years along the Rogue River. Her work was signed Kay Daniels until 2007 when she married Chuck Myer and now lives happily in Medford, OR.
