As a very young child, I realized I was to be an artist. I loved doing art and because my family encouraged me, many of my early attempts at art were successful. I also had great mentors who encouraged me to continue with my art.
I have always studied art even while I pursued a career in nursing. Our move to Oregon in 1979 gave me the opportunity to continue my education in art at Oregon College of Art. I freelanced even while doing nursing and have sold my artwork to hospitals, doctors, churches, clinics and businesses in Iowa, Colorado and Oregon.
Pen/Ink and watercolor are my favorite media; my subjects are varied, I have challenged myself to do the Oregon historical lighthouses. My work can be seen at Art du Jour Gallery in Medford and various shows around the area.
