“I paint to portray the softer side of emotion and humor in a whimsical manner.”
Born and raised in the Walla Walla Valley, Virginia. She learned to love art at an early age. She found inspiration in the illustrations of her favorite children’s books and in watching her Father sketch humorous little pictures at the dinner table and then sharing them with he family. Virginia now works in the watercolor, acrylic, ink and color pencils, often mixing media to obtain the desired effect.
Virginia has displayed her work in Prosser Washington, Clarkston Washington, Lewiston Idaho, and Salem Oregon.
Virginia was a founding member of the Creative Ship in downtown Lewiston Idaho.
Virginia also illustrates children’s books. Her latest illustrative work is featured in Turtle’s True Friend by Professor Johnny Lake of the University of Oregon.
Virginia makes her home in Medford, Oregon.
