John creates mostly landscapes, skyscapes, trees, and flowers. He likes to paint freely and have fun while painting using bold brush strokes and thick oil paint. Although John respects technique and can create realism, he chooses not to, leaving the smaller details up to the viewer. John's Expressionistic and Impressionistic paintings are created with intense emotion meant to awaken the soul. Thank you for viewing and considering owning an original piece of art created by John Acosta.

Thalia has been involved with fiber arts and crafts since childhood. After a career in Food Science and the software industry, I have returned to jewelry making and weaving. My jewelry combines fiber, exotic fabrics, beads, metals and braids to create unusual combinations. I use various fibers; weave structures and colors to create unique textures in my woven pieces. I create wearable art that enhances the beauty of women of all ages and cultures.

As a child of 7, I had an early knack for realism, and began painting in oils and other traditional media. As an adult, I had a 40+ year career as a Graphic Designer and Creative Director. Now, for me, the computer has become the most natural means of creative expression. However, the art I create is not about technology. I’m just a creative person trying to cope with modern existence, using tools of the time to create pieces of beauty and meaning for myself and others.

Raised and educated in Santa Cruz, California, Roy moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1977 with a reverence for compelling visual images through photojournalism. After a 30-year award-winning career in the newspaper field came to a close, a passion for illustration and design called him back to the drawing board. Making the transition from photographer to illustrator seemed like a natural choice since I’d always considered myself to be an artist first.

I am inspired locally and while travelling when I see interesting buildings, welcoming doorways, shuttered windows and lovely flowers. I enjoy working with oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor and pen and ink. The wonderful world that God has created is a great adventure and a joy for me.

My passion in life is creating artwork through the use of color, texture and composition. I started learning about using colors to create excitement. Later a small watercolor captured my imagination; thus fascinated; watercolor painting became my next focus. I have continued dyeing silk and painting watercolors. However, recently I’ve spent more time in mixed media. While all subjects interest me, I gravitate towards abstract & landscapes. I am a member of Southern Oregon Society of Artists.

Linda Cruz works primarily in acrylic, oil and graphite. She has also created sculptures, pen and ink drawings, pastels and watercolors. Linda has found inspiration from an early age in the beauty she sees around her in the ordinary things that surround us. She draws inspiration from the textures of mundane surfaces, the angle and pattern of light, and unusual shapes that catch her eye. Animals of every description from amoebas to elephants are inspiration and primary subjects of her work.

Andrea has discovered entire new worlds looking through her lenses. The subjects that captivate her attention and camera have changed over the years, from wildlife, to portraiture in West Africa, macro, newborn portraits and landscapes. Water has always brought a sense of peacefulness, so it is a common theme in her nature photography. The glorious diversity of humanity, vegetation and landscapes on our beautiful planet are a constant source of inspiration that she delights in.

Nancy begins each piece with a found inspirational element and then watches as the design starts to reveal itself. Rather than force a preconceived design, she stays open to change and redirection as it speaks to her. Her dimensional pieces are created using clay, driftwood, findings and natural elements – all interacting against various textured or fabric backgrounds. Nancy graduated from the UW in Seattle with a BFA.

I have always been intrigued by the sea. When I was a young Navy wife the ocean became my home port from the North Atlantic, down to Key West, and over to the Pacific. I never tired of dramatic ocean views in its changing light and colors. I first studied art at Santa Monica College and at Ventura College. I enjoyed teaching oil and acrylic classes at Camarillo Art Center and Leisure Village and I also traveled and taught art with Don Meylé Art Tours throughout southern California.

I have been an artist since the age of five. My path to photography began at 12 when I received my first camera. I discovered my passion in graduate school. Thanks to the American Field Service I was an exchange student to South Africa which started a life-long relationship with and love of Africa. African flora and fauna became a significant part of my repertoire.
